What is a Public Service Announcement? If you don't know what it is, Google it. In your own words, now tell me what it is? What are they used for? Can you recall an example of a PSA you've seen before?

A public service announcement is an announcement made freely to the public by the media to alert them of an event or situation that is going on. They are used for the purpose of making the public aware of what is going on and even influencing their opinions on certain situations and social issues. An example of a public service announcement I have seen before is whenever you are watching television and there is an interruption in the program to alert you of an intense weather situation or other dangerous things that are occurring.There are other public service announcements that just focus on keeping the public healthy as well.
